Honeywell has released the availability of a universal replacement Low/Medium Torque Actuator for fire and smoke dampers. The updated, UL555 and UL555S compliant actuator simplifies the replacement process by offering new time-saving installation features in addition to reducing the number of models distributors need to stock.

Features include a reversible design, which enables mounting for clockwise or counter-clockwise spring return with one model; optional internal end switches, which reduce installation time and eliminate the need for an accessory auxiliary switch pack; clip-in conduit connections designed to simplify wiring and connection of the flexible conduit; and a simplified shaft adapter for fast, tight, and secure connection to the damper shaft.
