Stream Data Centers has named Scott Mitchell senior vice president of sales. Scott will lead Stream’s sales efforts focused on managed services providers and colocation companies, and he will oversee enterprise account development in central and south Texas. Mitchell will be based in the Austin-San Antonio area.

“Scott brings the knowledge base and strategic perspective that fits well with our customer-centric approach to data center development and operations”

Mitchell brings more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the hosting and network services industries to his new role with Stream. Previously in his career, Mitchell led the 25-state central region sales organization for Rackspace. He was formerly the director of global service sales for Ericsson. He served as general manager for Verizon National Accounts, where he designed, built and launched a dedicated sales team that served mid-market strategic customers across 19 states for the company’s eastern region. And, prior to joining Stream Data Centers, Mitchell was the national sales director for Peak Hosting, where he served as a member of the senior leadership team.
