Energy Star Computer Server Program Requirements Updated
Computer servers should now be tested with Server Efficiency Rating Tool version 1.0.2.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has learned of a new update to the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) Server Efficiency Rating Tool (SERT). Computer servers should now be tested with SERT Version 1.0.2. It should be noted that 32 bit servers are now included as a result of this update. However, this is a minor revision to the tool that does not affect output results. Results submitted using previous versions of SERT will continue to be valid for ENERGY STAR Computer Servers certification. Retesting is not required.
