The Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA) has announced the launch of the ODCA Flash Webinar Series, a series of live events open to anyone interested in learning about ODCA usage models from the ODCA members who worked on creating the requirements, and from ODCA cloud solution provider members who have integrated the requirements into product offerings. These 45 minute sessions will be held every other Tuesday at 8:00 am US PT beginning on October 1, with the first session focused on an interactive review of ODCA's Compute Infrastructure as a Service (CIaaS) Master Usage Model.

Each webinar will focus on a different ODCA usage model and will include a 15 minute Q and A. Participants will understand the issues and challenges the usage model addresses and best practices for immediately adopting the requirements to begin building enterprise cloud implementations that are interoperable, secure and free of vendor lock-in. A six-month calendar of webinars, which will include presentations by members of ODCA workgroups and from solution providers delivering products that meet ODCA usage model requirements, is posted on the ODCA website.

"The ODCA webinar series is one of the best ways for global IT teams and cloud solution and service providers to understand how ODCA usage models make it easier and faster for enterprises to migrate data center IT operations to the cloud," said Mario Mueller, chair of Open Data Center Alliance and VP of IT infrastructure at BMW. "We welcome and encourage enterprise IT teams and cloud solution and service providers to participate in these bi-weekly sessions to interact with the ODCA members who are global leaders in driving the enterprise ready cloud."

The ODCA Flash Webinar Series is hosted by BrightTALK, an ODCA Forecast sponsor and a leader in interactive webinars and videos for professionals and their communities. Anyone interested in attending a webinar may register on the ODCA BrightTALK channel page, or on the ODCA website.
