Dr. Jonathan Koomey To Discuss Predictive DCIM At DCD San Francisco
The presentation will highlight why predictive modeling is necessary for managing an efficient data center and avoiding unnecessary capital expenditures.
Future Facilities North America (Future Facilities NA) has announced that Dr. Jonathan Koomey, Research Fellow at the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance at Stanford University will discuss the benefits of Predictive Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) at the Data Center Dynamics Converged Conference in San Francisco on July 12, 2013.
Many corporate data centers struggle with imperfectly measured and poorly optimized facilities, resulting in immense lost capacity and premature capital expenditures. During the conference, Dr. Koomey will present his talk titled, Why Predictive Modeling is Essential for Managing a Modern Facility – and what it can mean for your data center, in Hall 5 from 11:10 a.m. – 11:50 a.m., where he will describe how data center operators can achieve higher computing output, lower costs, and better reliability through Predictive DCIM solutions such as the one available from Future Facilities. Having the ability to predict critical infrastructure and IT prior to deployment can result in higher computing output, lower costs, and better reliability.
