Tinkoff Credit Systems (TCS) announced that it has entered an agreement with DataSpace to provide certified Tier III data center facilities and services to support its fast-growing internet banking business in Russia.

TCS data processing systems were launched in a test mode in January 2013 and went live to operational mode on July 1, 2013 in the DataSpace site located in the 6,200 m2 certified Tier III Facility within Moscow central area, 15 minutes away from the Kremlin.

David Hamner, DataSpace CEO, said, “We are very pleased to count Tinkoff Credit Systems among our early-adopter customers, as the Tinkoff brand denotes quality and service, as does the developing DataSpace brand. Considering the nature of Tinkoff’s business, where the back office is really the front office, and reliable, secure data processing being so central to their business, we are gratified that Tinkoff chose the best facility and operator in the market.”

“We at Tinkoff Credit Systems take no short cuts in our service delivery system, and we found DataSpace to be the most reliable, secure provider, and made the choice even though the cost was slightly higher,” says Viacheslav Tsyganov, vice president, CIO, TCS.

“Our agreement with TCS is a long-term one and meaningful to our growth as a company,” Hamner said.

The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
