Over the course of the year, Paul be addressing the six steps required to getting to a total cost of ownership (TCO) when building or selecting a new data center. Part one ran in January/February. See page 22 for part two, and tune in for the rest of steps as the year progresses.
Our second new column debuts this month. “Site Selection” is written by Shawn Conaway, Mission Critical’s new associate editor. Shawn holds MBA and undergraduate degrees in geophysics and most recently managed a Tier III data center and 35 remote server rooms. An avid writer, he has written for C-NET, Technical Support Magazine, Time Out Chicago, and Certification Magazine, and created Virtualize!
