DataSite is adding an additional 18,000 sq ft of purpose-built data center to the DataSite facility in Marietta, GA.
DataSite Marietta has 73,000 sq ft of purpose-built, high reliability data center space and is currently commissioning the newest phase of critical infrastructure. DataSite Marietta is scheduled to begin accommodating customers in April of this year. DataSite specializes in providing data center clients with customized critical computing environments within private suites and cages and utilizing metered power billing, which ensures each customer they will only pay for power actually consumed.
“Many Data Center customers are being gouged by providers who charge a full utilization on primary and redundant power circuits that are vastly underutilized,” said Rob Wilson, director of sales and Marketing for DataSite. “By providing an enterprise class Tier 3 facility that offers metered power billing DataSite is able to meet the tight budget constraints that most all IT departments face today.”
DataSite Marietta offers clients an alternative to investing millions of dollars in office building server rooms as well as an economical alternative to traditional colocation. DataSite offers customized spaces from one cabinet to over 10,000 sq ft and supports the ultra high power dense environments that require water cooled and in-row cooling solutions.
DataSite Marietta has multiple UPS systems, redundant backup generators, 24-hr security and surveillance, bio metric and man-trap controlled access points, advanced water-cooling capabilities, and other high reliability features essential for operating a world class data center.
DataSite Marietta has invested $19 million through the current phase of expansion, and future phases of expansion will bring the total investment to in excess of $30 million. By phasing colocation expansions, DataSite is able to provide its customers the finest power, cooling and secure space for the most advanced computing platforms.
