CoSentry has announced the opening of its new Lenexa Data Center. The facility, located in Lenexa, KS, is the latest addition to CoSentry’s growing network of secure data centers. Several companies have expressed interest in this data center as it is one of the only facilities in the region to support VCE’s Vblock technology.

Manny Quevedo, vice president of corporate development, explains, “With the opening of our new data center in Lenexa, KS, CoSentry is continuing its track record of offering flexible, secure, onshore data center solutions across the country.”

In a ceremony hosting nearly 200 attendees, the mayor of Lenexa, Michael Boehm, and the Deputy secretary of commerce cut the ribbon for the new data center on November 13. The opening is just one event of many that signifies the trend of IT heavyweights choosing the Midwest for expansion.

The mayor of Lenexa, Michael Boehm, indicated in his comments at the event that CoSentry will not be the last company to recognize the benefits of expanding their operations in the Midwestern region, mentioning that low cost of operations, low environmental impact, and a wealth of technical expertise, are key factors.

CoSentry-Lenexa is currently accepting clients.
