Power Analytics And Penn State To Offer Power System Course
Power Analytics will offer expertise in microgrid analysis in a new course at Penn State University running November 13-15. The course, “Advanced Power Systems – Introducing Microgrids” is produced in conjunction with the Penn State/Department of Energy (DOE) GridSTAR Center, Power Analytics and Eaton Corporation. The class will emphasize the basic power system concepts and algorithms including short circuit and protective device coordination, as well as power flow and transient stability.
“This course is being offered through the DOE GridSTAR Center and its partners to provide participants with key concepts in modeling electrical distribution systems that would be needed for understanding smart grid systems and microgrids,” said Zoha Memari, Energy Program Coordinator for Penn State University. “It is part of a foundation series of offerings of the GridSTAR Center.”
