Power Analytics has announced its board of directors has named Michael J. Nark as the company’s new president and chief executive officer effective Aug. 22, 2012. Nark will also serve on the board of directors of the company. He succeeds Mark A. Ascolese who has served as CEO since 2008. The company has elevated. Ascolese to the position of executive chairman of the board.
Nark brings extensive experience in sales, marketing and operations for software and technology-enabled service delivery businesses. Prior to joining Power Analytics, Nark was president and CEO of Prenova, a privately-held technology-enabled energy management services provider to the commercial and industrial marketplace. Before Prenova, he was president and CEO of GEOCOMtms, providing fleet management software solutions to the oil and gas markets. He has also served as senior vice president of worldwide sales operations for Datastream, an enterprise asset management software solutions provider to mission critical markets (now part of Infor), and executive director of sales operations for Honeywell International. Mr. Nark holds a B.S. in engineering from Miami University of Ohio.
