The Oregonian is reporting that Rackspace is close to a $2 million deal for 99 acres at the Port of Morrow to build a data center. According to the paper, “Rackspace, operating as Boardman Acquisition LLC, has been eyeing the site near Boardman since last year. It held an option to buy the property, but economic development officials have suggested the company was also considering Prineville and other sites in Oregon.”

Rackspace currently has a 15-year enterprise zone agreement in Morrow County.
