Sidera Networks has announced it has created a dedicated network ring connecting Digital Realty  data centers in Chicago; Piscataway, NJ; New York; and Ashburn, VA. The dedicated network ring provides Digital Realty customers with key benefits for cloud-based services including low latency, unique routes and 100G-ready scalability.

“The Cloud relies on high bandwidth, low latency connectivity so that storage, high-end content and media, disaster recovery, and gaming applications are accessible and available in a virtualized environment,” comments Clint Heiden, President of Sidera Networks. “The engine of this infrastructure lives in key data centers like Digital Realty’s properties. Sidera’s scalable and redundant network was designed to meet the needs of Digital Realty’s largest bandwidth users enabling real-time data replication and access throughout their footprint.”

“We recognize that data center operations rely on the most elite network infrastructure for connectivity to enable and support critical business communications,” said Andrew Schaap, Vice President, Sales at Digital Realty. “By connecting our key data centers with Sidera’s network, Digital Realty is able to provide our customers with a unique and diverse option for critical high-bandwidth applications.”

Sidera’s high capacity, high availability network ring provides Digital Realty’s customers dedicated connectivity between and among key facilities located in Chicago, New Jersey, New York and Ashburn, VA. In addition, Sidera’s Xtreme Ultra-low Latency Network offers customers direct low latency connectivity to all of the major northeast financial exchanges, as well as Chicago/Aurora, IL, London, UK, and Toronto, CA.
