FiberMedia Group, LLC has announced the expansion of its flagship Secaucus, NJ facility to accommodate the strong demand for enterprise-class data center services. The expansion encompasses the entire first floor of 200 Meadowlands Parkway, bringing the total data center space to 47,000 sq and creating 30,000 sq ft of customer colocation space, a 100 percent increase.

This expansion will provide the market with an additional 15,000 sq ft of fully conditioned, high-power density space, which will be built to support the colocation, cloud, and managed services needs of its customers. The data center's critical features include: six layers of security, seven layers of redundancy in N+1 and 2N configurations, 24/7 NOC coverage, two meet-me-rooms, dual points of entry for its dense network of communication carriers, and a new dedicated 5MW power feed. The facility is in close proximity with low latency connectivity to major financial exchanges throughout the New York metro market.

For future expansion, FiberMedia has also secured the rights to the entire second floor of the building which encompasses an additional 34,000 sq ft which would increase the facility's gross square footage to over 81,000.

"The demand in the market for Intelligent Data Center Solutions that are both cost effective and dynamic continues to grow," said Michael Bucheit, CEO of FiberMedia Group. "Mid- and large- size enterprises demand performance and resiliency to deploy traditional and cloud IT infrastructure seamlessly in geographic proximity of their own business operations.”
