Data Center Pulse has announced that the first round of Project Quicksilver have been completed. The project’s goal is to solicit RFPs to design a modular data center for eBay. Five finalists have been selected, according to Data Center Puluse, “based on a comprehensive and balanced scoring system that rated each companies submission based on thedesign concept,team capabilities,overall operational efficiency,sustainabilityandcost.”
The finalists are a mix of firms and teams: Advanced Design Consultants, Inc.; Deems & Gensler, a team; KlingStubbins; M+W Group; and Winterstreet Architect and AHA Consulting Engineers, a team.
According to Data Center Pulse, “each of the finalists will be receiving a design fee for their efforts in reaching the finalists round. They will also have the opportunity to present
