After an extensive West Coast selection process, Marvell has chosen Benaroya’s South Hill Data Center to meet its future active computing and disaster recovery requirements. Marvell selected South Hill, south of Seattle, because it is a state-of-the-art facility that met search criteria:

• Extremely efficient and highly reliable critical infrastructure

• Very low total cost of operation

• Environmental sensitivity – LEED Gold Certified

• Scalable and expandable to meet future growth requirements

• Secure, private 92-acre campus setting

• Excellent fiber-optic connections

• Convenient access to SeaTac International Airport

“We are pleased to be working with Marvell to meet their data center requirements,” said Larry Benaroya, principal of the Benaroya Company. “South Hill Data Center provides an ideal secure facility to handle the rapidly expanding demands of cloud computing, data storage and retrieval, and disaster recovery.”

The South Hill Data Center-North Building has additional capacity that is immediately available. The 300,000-sq-ft facility was completed and fully commissioned in July, providing tenants with a new, state-of-the-art data center solution. The South Hill Data Center-South Building offers an additional 175,000 sq ft “cold shell” space with similar power capacity already in place. The 92-acre South Hill campus also includes additional build to suit opportunities and space for on-site containers for added flexibility and scalability. n
