Telx, an interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, announced today that Telarus, a premier telecom master agent and patent holder of real-time carrier quotes, has selected Telx as both a colocation provider and a channel partner. Telarus selected Telx to deliver highly-available, resilient colocation and interconnection services in two Dallas locations, strengthening its ability to deliver connectivity in this key U.S. market. The telecom broker has also agreed to become a national sales and marketing partner of Telx on a non-exclusive basis. Through this agreement, Telarus independent Agents can offer their customers the best in carrier-neutral connectivity choice and colocation within all 15 of Telx’s North American locations.
“Telx provides carrier-neutral, connection-rich interconnection services in their two Dallas-based data centers, allowing us to be one cross-connect away from a secure, direct connection to carriers and ISPs within the Telx ecosystem. Because we are a colocation customer, we can confidently offer Telx’s services in all 15 of its locations to our own customers,” said Andrew Morgan, director of IT for Telarus. “Telx’s secure colocation services will be a powerful new addition to the Telarus business communications portfolio.”
Telarus is a colocation customer at Telx’s two Dallas locations, 8435 Stemmons Freeway and 2323 Bryan Street. These locations provide Telarus redundant, highly available colocation services with Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) connectivity, and direct access to 210 ISPs, carriers and service providers, delivering cost-effective market entry into the Dallas business region.
As a Telx channel partner, Telarus can now quickly augment its portfolio of services with best-in-class Telx interconnection and colocation services, offering their national clients a complete solution to meet their business needs and objectives. Telx also provides Telarus agents a comprehensive training program, marketing services, and support organization within this program.
“Telx is pleased to provide Telarus the most choice in direct access connectivity at our two Dallas data center facilities, and to become its nationwide channel partner,” said William Kolman, vice president of sales for Telx. “This strategic channel partnership will give Telarus Agents a competitive differentiator and will also provide their business communications customers with secure, direct access to our Global Marketplace of service providers, while keeping connectivity costs low.”
