Roger Baker, chief information officer for the Veterans Affairs Department, told a Senate panel on Wednesday, October 6. 2010, that he doesn't anticipate asking for an increase in his fiscal 2012 information technology budget, Nextgov.com is reporting.
The department’s IT budget of $3.3 billion would be unchanged from the previous three years, Baker told the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.
Baker also updated the committee on ongoing IT projects, including developing a health care data base with the Defense Department and the finalization of the 9/11 GI claims processing system,.
