Telx, an interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced that Carrier to Carrier Telecom B.V. (C2C), a full-service telecommunications provider based in The Netherlands, has established a Point of Presence (PoP) within Telx's 60 Hudson St. data center facility. C2C's New York City presence allows carriers and service providers in the same interconnection facility to gain secure, direct connectivity to any of its destinations and connected carriers worldwide, all via a single cross-connection. Due to its strategic location, 60 Hudson Street New York is a key connectivity hub for C2 C, enabling cost-effective and low-latency connectivity to the company's other network locations throughout Europe, Africa and North America.

"Telx met the key requirements of carrier neutrality and the most strategic Trans-Atlantic connectivity location at 60 Hudson, as well as offering the best choice in carrier connectivity," said Kees Jan Mink, General Manager of Carrier to Carrier Telecom B.V. "By establishing a PoP at Telx's 60 Hudson location in New York City, we can now offer our customers secure, low latency connections within the United States at a very competitive rate."

C2C already owns and operates PoPs in Amsterdam and London, as well as the C2C teleport in Biddinghuizen, The Netherlands. By colocating in Telx's 60 Hudson facility, C2C can leverage a wide variety of service provider connections, giving its customers greater carrier choice and ensuring low latency, optimized routing for North America, Europe and Africa. In both Amsterdam and New York, C2C directly connects to the Inmarsat MPLS network to provide customers unsurpassed and lower costs access to the Fleetbroadband and BGAN services.

"Telx is pleased that C2C is realizing the value of its carrier-neutral PoP at 60 Hudson," said Brad Hokamp, CMO of Telx. "This location is in high demand by global companies in need of a secure, low latency interconnection facility that gives them the flexibility and choice in carrier connectivity they require to offer international customers the best in telecommunications solutions."
