GDCA Extends Deadline for Best Practices

The Green Data Center Alliance (GDCA) is working with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to develop a set of best practices and standards for energy efficiency in data centers. The GDCA has extended its call for best practices until September 30th.

Technology, real estate, facilities, operations, finance, and other data center professionals and vendors are invited to share their expertise and set the standard for others to follow. The best practices in the following categories will be published nationally in 2011 as part of a national report on green data centers:

• Process

• Information Technology

• Facilities Design and Engineering

• Governance

• Finance
