Lee Technologies, the leading provider of complete data center solutions and resources to some of the most data-reliant corporations and government organizations in the world, has announced  the completion of a multimillion-dollar data center expansion project in Charlotte, N.C., forHosted Solutions, the East Coast’s premier provider of enterprise-class managed hosting solutions.

“Our selection of Lee Technologies as a design/build partner has once again resulted in a successful outcome,” said Rich Lee, founder and CEO of Hosted Solutions. “Each time we work with Lee, we benefit from the unique level of expertise in critical facility design and construction they bring to our projects. The completion of this center has allowed us to deliver an expanded and secure facility that is ready to serve our customers’ growing needs.”

The expansion doubles the critical load capacity of the Charlotte Metro data center and adds 6,000 square feet of additional space, making it one of the largest, uniquely streamlined facilities of its kind in the southeastern region of the U.S.

“We’ve been honored to have the opportunity to support Hosted Solutions in the expansion of another one of their critical facilities,” said John C. Lee, chairman and CEO of Lee Technologies. “The assessment and planning stages of center development projects are critical to delivering uninterrupted services in a secure environment. This project is a great example of our ability to deliver top-quality, critical facilities on schedule and under tight time requirements.”

The scope of the project included a strategic build-out of the 10,000-square-foot SAS-70 Type II certified facility with an additional 5,000 square feet to accommodate current and anticipated growth, as well as to support increased power capacity and a new mechanical infrastructure.

Lee Technologies supported Hosted Solutions last year with the strategic build-out of its SAS-70 Type IIRaleigh data center. That project included the addition of 8,000 square feet of additional raised-floor space in the data center.

Last month, Lee Technologies announced it has been awarded a major contract by Harris Corporation to design and build the Harris Cyber Integration Center, a new Tier III, LEED Silver-certified facility in the mid-Atlantic region.
