The Data Center Alliance (DCA) announced that its second educational and networking event will be held on December 8th at the George Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, GA from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Titled "Winds of Change: Creative Concepts for Increasing Data Center Efficiency," the event will focus on new developments and best practices for data center efficiency addressing topics that include scalable designs for rack enclosures, data center mobility, lowering cooling costs, power management, facility design, remote access management, and others. Keynote speakers from Georgia Tech and a panel of data center professionals will offer insights into data center energy management challenges to an audience of CIOs, facilities managers, data center managers, IT managers, and system administrators.

At the day's conclusion, attendees can take an exclusive tour of the Georgia Tech Data Center, one of the country's premiere experimental data centers where new technologies are researched, applied, and tested.
