CB
Richard Ellis Group, Inc. has unveiled a major enhancement to its
commercial real estate services platform, bringing together all of
its data center and critical environment work across the enterprise
under a single entity-the CBRE Critical Environment Practice. This
practice area will consist of transaction management, facilities
management, and project management specialties, and provide
a ”one stop” portal for delivering integrated solutions to
clients with data center and critical environment needs.
“CBRE
has long been at the forefront of the critical environment space,
with a portfolio encompassing more than 86 million sq. ft. of
critical facilities-including 200 data centers-and a substantial
roster of clients across a wide range of industries,” said Mitch
Harris, director of the CBRE Critical Environment Practice. “As
data and information play an increasingly central role in both our
economy and daily lives, the unified CBRE Critical Environment
Practice will enable us to work even deeper across borders and
business lines to meet the needs of our clients.”
The
CBRE Critical Environment Practice’s Transaction Management
specialty will encompass services offered by the company’s former
Technology Practice Group-including leasing, sales, capital markets
and advisory services-under the CBRE Critical Environment Practice
group name.
The
Facilities Management specialty will be comprised of the critical
environment technical services provided by the engineering solutions
group under CBRE senior managing director Jack O’Connor. The
Project Management specialty will encompass the data center
construction services currently offered and led by managing director
Jerry Reich.
