Should our next panel on data center cooling discuss air-side and water-side economizers? How about Kyoto Cooling.
I've been at the Uptime Institute over the past four-days, and there has been a lot of discussion about economization. Panelists uniformly applaud the use of this technique, but end users still seem skeptical.
PG&E's Mark Bramfitt suggests that the technology is so mainstream that its use will not qualify for rebates. Kyoto Cooling (the technique and the company) seems to hold the cure to the horror stories that still circulate.
What is the future of that technology?
