FAAST’s TCP/IP connectivity is achieved through its onboard Ethernet port. Beyond e-mail notifications, this interface enables facility managers to monitor the detector from any Internet browser, smart phone, or mobile device with VPN capability. That means responding personnel can know what they need to know to protect their facilities from any location in the world where Internet access is available.
