Hammond Manufacturing’s Eclipse Junior (EJ Series) enclosure series is now available in 316 Grade stainless steel material as well as the traditional 304 Grade stainless steel for applications where the properties of 316 are not required. Designed for use as instrument enclosures, electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic control housings, electrical junction boxes, or terminal wiring enclosures, the EJ Series is UL 508 Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 approved, confirming protection where equipment may be hosed down or otherwise be very wet. The design features a formed lip around the door aperture to prevent liquids entering the enclosure, a continuous foam gasket provides an excellent seal and an easy to open/close quarter turn latching system secures the door to prevent unauthorized access without a tool. The EJ316 family is available in 10 sizes ranging from 6 by 4-in., 150 by 100 mm, to 16 by 14-in., 400 by 350 mm. The EJ Series is provided with an inner panel, tapped inner panel mounting studs, and ground studs as standard; dedicated accessories such as filter fans, breather kits, windows, and additional inner panels are also available.
