S&C’s IntelliNode interface module is designed to provide the next generation of IntelliTEAM operability to a substation breaker, recloser, or other intelligent electronic device by permitting it to function as part of the company’s IntelliTEAM SG automatic restoration system. The module interfaces with the microprocessor relay of the breaker or the recloser control and provides the device with full team member logic and communication capabilities-thus allowing the device to operate as needed to minimize the impact of a fault or loss of source. The IntelliNode interface module features a more powerful processor and more memory than the interface module previously offered by S&C and is available with optional GPS for enhanced-accuracy time stamping. DNP 3.0-compatible intelligent electronic devices suitable for use with the device include SEL 351-R1, 351-R2, and 351-S overcurrent relays, Nu-Lec CAPM-5 recloser controls, Cooper Form 6 recloser controls, GE F60 feeder management relays, and ABB Ref 550 protection relays.
