EnerSys announced the addition of a thin-plate pure lead (TPPL) VRLA batteryto its PowerSafe SBS line. The SBS145F battery is ideal for use in wireless andfixed-line communications applications, as well as in cable TV, power generation,and off-shore applications. The battery’s pure-lead chemistry preventsit from being as susceptible to corrosion as comparable lead-acid alloy batteries,and provides a greater than 10-year design life. This advanced chemistry, alongwith the battery’s rugged design, offers better functionality in extremetemperatures and harsh environments.
