Telx®, an interconnection and colocation provider in strategic North American markets, today announced that Peerless Network, Inc., a provider that simplifies interconnection for telecommunications service providers, has selected Telx as its colocation provider to enter the Phoenix, AZ and Charlotte, NC markets. Selecting Telx’s strategic data center locations in these two key cities supports Peerless Network’s strategy to expand services quickly and affordably, and will give the company the ability to easily reach new customers and expand services with existing ones.

“Telx has proven to be a fast, flexible and affordable colocation partner for Peerless,” said Tony Hiller, vice president of Network Engineering for Peerless Network, Inc. “When it was time to choose carrier-neutral colocation sites to support our Phoenix and Charlotte market expansions, Telx was the obvious choice. We’re pleased to expand our relationship with Telx as we continue to increase the number of markets we serve.”

Peerless Network currently delivers services in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, San Jose, San Diego, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Connecticut, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. Through its colocation partnership with Telx, the company can now offer services in Phoenix and Charlotte. Telx’s Phoenix facility, located at 120 East Van Buren, is the premier interconnection facility in the Phoenix Metro area, serving as a major hub for Internet traffic. The building houses a recognized fiber crossroad, offering direct connectivity to almost every national network backbone.

Currently, more than three dozen carriers and service providers can be accessed from this location, as part of Telx’s Global Marketplace of service providers. Phoenix is an important top tier market and has become one of the fastest-growing markets for disaster recovery and corporate application hosting.

Additionally, Telx’s 113 North Myers Street, Charlotte facility is a destination spot for communications technology companies in North Carolina, strategically located in the central business district of Charlotte, the second largest banking and financial city in the nation and home to numerous Fortune 500 companies.

“Telx is excited to welcome Peerless Network to our Phoenix and Charlotte colocation facilities,” said Brad Hokamp, CMO for Telx. “We look forward to delivering for Peerless the high-performance colocation and interconnection services that will help them rapidly enter these key U.S. markets and increase revenue.”
