The Liquid Blade significantly improves cooling efficiency and server reliability while reducing energy costs, maintenance expense, and facility spending. In fact, the construction cost of a 3.2 megawatt data processing suite built with conventional air-cooled architecture is 32% greater than that of a data processing suite with identical compute capacity using the Liquid BladeTM platform. In addition, the conventional suite takes six times more cooling energy. This translates to a total cost of ownership (TCO) penalty for the air-cooled suite in this study of $1,770,000 per year for 15 years, a total of $26,550,000.
