Predicting the Energy Consumption in Data Center Design
With the cooling costs of the data center representing 75% or more of total non-IT operating costs, the energy efficiency of a data center is largely a cooling system design issue. With recent advances in software simulation tools, it is now possible to create accurate models of various design alternatives to optimize the cooling system design well in advance of implementation. In this webinar we will review how this process was done in one recent data center design, and how it can be generalized for use on other new or existing designs. This webinar will be hosted by Paul Bemis CEO of Applied Math Modeling Inc. Panelists will include Dana Etherington, of CRB in Boston, along with Dr. Liz Marshall of Applied Math Modelng Inc. If you are involved with data center design or operation, this would be an excellent webinar for you to attend.
Benefits for Attendees:
- How to predict the energy savings resulting from airside or waterside economizers
- Learn the methodology for building and analyzing data center design improvements
- How to integrate geographic temperature data into data center energy calculations
- How to combine bin analysis with CFD modeling for optimizing data center design.
