Wright Line Named Partner of Choice for Boston Police Emergency Dispatch

Wright Line, a global outfitter for technology-driven environments, today announced that it has installed its Profile Advanced Console System in the Boston Police Department's (BPD) 911 Command and Control Center.

Wright Line's customized console system for the BPD 911 Center includes a flexible design that can be configured for either single or double-sided workstations and stacked for large numbers of flat panel displays. The design, with hundreds of modular components available, also enables a variety of configurations, such as cockpit viewing of monitoring equipment. It also offers manual and electronic height-adjustable work surfaces.

"After seeing the great look and configuration Wright Line created for the Boston Fire Department's command and control center, we knew we wanted to talk with the company," said deputy superintendent John Daley, Boston Police Department. "Given the 24/7 schedule of our 911 center and all our individualized needs, we decided that Wright Line was the right partner for us."

The Wright Line command/control console system is built for the rigors of a 24/7 multi-shift environment and enables both the user and IT staff to work simultaneously without disruption to operations. Installation is also faster and maintenance downtime is minimized as operators continue to work while technical staff easily access technology and cables.

Wright Line's Profile Console system is GREENGUARD Certified and in compliance with the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) standards for products from the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI). This means that Wright Line's Profile Console components have undergone rigorous testing to prove that individual elements contained in the final product consist of low-emitting materials.

The GREENGUARD designation gives Wright Line's customers the ability to create healthier indoor business environments with improved indoor air quality. This designation enables companies to gain Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) points, the nationally recognized standard for the design, construction and operation of green buildings.
