Vantage Data Centers to Host Smart Data Center Revolution

Vantage Data Centers will host the “Smart Data Center Revolution” at its $300 million Santa Clara data center campus from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 22, 2011, Earth Day, to celebrate the largest LEED platinum candidacy campus in the U.S. and to discuss the commercial viability of a much-needed, fundamental shift in the data center industry towards improved energy and operating efficiency. This event will also highlight Vantage Data Center’s Santa Clara project as an example of how innovative companies can work together. These ground-breaking companies and organizations include event sponsors G.E., Fujitsu, Toshiba, Rosendin Electric, IBIS, and Sustainable Silicon Valley.

The Smart Data Center Revolution is an invitation-only opportunity to tour Silicon Valley’s most innovative and efficient data center campus as the second building is built. This event will allow attendees to learn how the sponsoring companies will use their technology partnerships and expertise to drive down costs, risks and reduce construction time. Their collaboration will bring green and smart technology together to deliver superior performance and transform the data center industry.

David Gottfried, founder of the U.S. Green Building Council and the World Green Building Council, will deliver the keynote address. A panel discussion on data center innovation will follow. The panel will be moderated by Mark Thiele of Data Center Pulse along with David Robbins CTO of NetApp, Mark Egan CIO of VMware, Kurt Kemmerer CIO of GE Intelligent Platforms and Dan Azevedo Director at Symantec.

The Vantage Data Centers is located at 2625 Walsh Avenue in Santa Clara, CA.
