The Uptime Institute 2011 Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Awards application period is now open.
The GEIT Awards are the Institute’s highest honor. The Institute grants these Awards to projects, ideas, and products that significantly improve energy productivity and resource use in IT.
The Awards are open to applicants in all countries; each case study is carefully judged by a committee of independent experts in a double-blind review process. Award winners will be honored at the high-profile Uptime Institute Symposium 2011 in Santa Clara, CA in May 2011.
A principal objective of the GEIT Awards is to educate the data center and IT industries in effective ways to reduce energy consumption by highlighting innovation and best practices. Winners are provided with a platform to share their experiences and insights at the Institute Symposium and receive peer recognition and significant public relations recognition through media coverage of the Institute Awards.
In 2011, the fourth year of the GEIT Awards, the Institute invites applications in ten categories:

The application period for the 2011 Green Enterprise IT Award program opens November 1, 2010. Completed applications must be submitted by 9 am EST, February 18, 2011.
