UBM TechWeb's Interop Las Vegas 2011 Celebrates 25 Years of IT Innovation

Interop, produced by UBM TechWeb, returns to Las Vegas for the annual flagship event with the largest and most comprehensive program dedicated to the massive transformations happening in business technology today. This year marks Interop's 25th anniversary, attesting to the event's ongoing importance and relevance to the global IT community. The "Future of IT" marks this year's event theme, focusing on the rush of new technology developments, interoperability and how to leverage innovations to create real business value. Interop Las Vegas happens May 8-12, 2011, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

"For 25 years Interop has been the source of innovation and inspiration for the business technology community," said Lenny Heymann, Interop General Manager. "Our role has never been more vital as technologies like cloud computing and mobile challenge traditional IT strategies and spur a new wave of innovation and reinvention. IT pros are gaining a wealth of new tools to drive business value, all while under pressure to maintain high levels of service, security and management in an increasingly virtualized environment. Like in any transformation the risks are big, as are the rewards."

Heymann continued, "We invite everyone to join us at Interop – to explore the new environment and define the future of IT."

Interop's comprehensive educational program includes 12 tracks and a number of full day programs focused on cloud computing, virtualization, data center, information security, enterprise 2.0, mobility, video and all the most important topics shaping the future of business technology. Hundreds of leading technology companies support Interop, and use the event as a stage for major product announcements each year.

Interop Las Vegas 2011 proudly welcomes 350+ exhibitors showcasing the full range of IT solutions such as Alcatel-Lucent, APC, Avaya, Brocade, Cisco, Citrix, D-Link, EMC, HP, Intel, Enterasys, F5, Force10 Networks, McAfee, NetScout, OPNET, Quest Software, Qwest Communications, Rackspace Cloud, Riverbed, ShoreTel, Sprint, Terremark, VMware, and Xirrus
