Industry efforts to curb outage frequency fall short

The gap between the beginning of a major public outage and full recovery has stretched significantly over the last five years. Nearly 30% of these outages in 2021 lasted more than 24 hours, a disturbing increase from just 8% in 2017.
Data released in November 2021 by the International Energy Agency shows the industry has done a tremendous job of serving needs without consuming more power. It’s a verified and impressive fact we can be proud of. And it’s time that we, as an industry, get a little more vocal about our accomplishments.

The most expensive merchandise overall was passports, with an average price of $600 per document. Czech, Slovakian, or Lithuanian passports were the costliest, with an average price of $3,800. An American passport only costs $20.
