RackTop Systems and Site2 announced their collaboration on a simplified enterprise backup appliance, which will provide businesses of all sizes with an energy-efficient, easy-to-use solution for data backup and disaster recovery. The product, Enterprise Backup and Recovery (EBR), is a hybrid cloud solution, combining a hardened appliance with the Site2 SourceCopy cloud backup service.

Unlike other backup services, EBR includes an energy-efficient server installed within the customer's environment. The server manages, encrypts, compresses, and de-duplicates data-all before sending it to the cloud. EBR is agentless and uses a straightforward annual pricing model, which includes all of the software and hardware the customer needs to backup and protect an unlimited number of devices. Plus, it's easy to install and maintain, meaning customers don't have to be IT experts to get it working.
