Online Data Center Courses Set

The Institute for Data Center Professionals, in conjunction with Marist College, is offering two data center-related classes as part of its fall semester of offerings. Both classes will be held November 29, 2010 to February 25, 2011.

Introduction to Facilities Management offers an introduction to all facets of data center facilities management including deployment, support, major site infrastructures (power, cooling, etc.), downtime windows, security, maintenance procedures, and relationships (IT systems, processes, management) with a concentration on the physical aspects of data centers.

Internetworking provides the student with a theoretical and practical approach to the overall understanding, operation and configuration of advanced networking knowledge; provides an understanding of internetworking technologies, routing protocols, and their operation; and lab exercises with hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting networks are also covered.
