Datacenter Dynamics is reporting that legislation to extend Washington State’s tax break agreement for companies building and operating data centers in the state failed to garner support in the House, effectively killing the measure. The measure was passed by the Senate in April and affects data center operators “from sales and uses taxes on servers bough before April 1, 2021.” The current law expires in April, 2018.
