Engineered to protect and store network equipment in seismically active areas, Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) new Z4-Series SeismicFrame® Cabinet System features flexibility and an industry-leading seismic equipment load.

The Z4-Series SeismicFrame Cabinet is tested to meet the stringent seismic testing requirements of Telcordia Technologies GR-63-CORE, which involves putting a cabinet through a series of shaker table tests to simulate a severe earthquake.

Key benefits include:

  • Industry-leading 1500 lb (680 kg) seismic equipment load with additional 100 lb top load for cabling per GR-63-CORE testing.

  • UL 2416 Listed for 3000 lb static equipment payload.

  • Multiple size options, including 600 and 800 mm, as well as a unique 47.2 in. (1200 mm) deep model with a narrow width to accommodate deeper equipment, while maintaining a small footprint.

  • Reduced frame profile eliminates the need for extra bracing along the sides, which can interfere with airflow, cable or power management.

Additionally, the Z4-Series SeismicFrame Cabinet is easy to move and install on-site. The cabinet features factory-installed transport casters to provide easy transfer, and recessed leveling feet to simplify installation. Floor anchorage also eliminates the requirement for secondary bracing.

Thermal performance, in accordance with industry best practices, is maximized with accessories, such as Snap-In Filler Panels and Air Dams, that manage airflow through the cabinet to keep hot and cold air separated.
