2017 is here and Mission Critical has a great article lineup in store for you! In addition to hot topics such as cloud computing, software-defined data centers, and green data centers, we will be featuring cooling and power in some iteration or another in every issue.

The January/February issue traditionally features cloud computing and this month we examine the issue of cloud computing through the lens of data sovereignty laws in an article by Mark Bauer of JLL. Other traditional features of January/ February include DCIM — Robert McClary of FORTRUST discusses how data center owners can leverage DCIM systems for their colocation customers — and cooling, and Mark Silnes of Vertiv is on hand to discuss the importance of thermal system upgrades on a facility’s bottom line. In addition, Tom Grace of Eaton is here to talk about the real costs of counterfeit electrical products to both personnel and property; Richard Jenkins of Romonet examines data center water consumption in relation to new technology; and Nathaniel Josephs of Parallel Technologies battles zombie servers.

We have a full slate of columnists as well, including Julius Neudorfer, Destiny Bertucci, Chris Crosby, Terry L. Rodgers, and Paul Schlattman.

Look out 2017, here we come! Look for the Mission Critical Magazine booth at Global Data Center World Conference being held this year on April 3-6, 2017 in Los Angeles. Stop by to say hi and check out our social media for updates during the show.
