Instor Solutions (Instor) has announced the next step towards expanding its corporate structure with the addition of four industry professionals to teams in the Southwest and West Coast. To help manage this process, Instor has established the position of director of professional services to support the company’s strategic expansions for both products offered and regions served.

A new member of Instor’s Southwest Team, Byron Ferguson has been named to the newly created position of director of professional services. In his new role, Ferguson is responsible for cultivating company growth, monitoring industry trends, and ensuring the highest level of quality and execution for Instor’s customers. Ferguson is a versatile IT leader with over 20 years’ experience in development, professional services, sustaining engineering and data center management. He joins Instor from previous positions with the U.S. Navy, McDonnel Douglas, NAVAIR, and Hitachi.

Working with Ferguson will be Garrick McPherson, Instor’s new director of sales, Southwest. McPherson brings 18 years of experience to this position, drawing on knowledge gained from a variety of previous roles, including vice president of sales with SVI and district sales manager for DataSpan, where he specialized in data center services and solutions.

Continuing with the company’s domestic expansion strategy, Instor has hired Mark Hoffert as the new director of sales for the West Coast. From his 15 years working in customer service, electrical design, computer science, and facilities, Hoffert offers Instor a diverse background and broad relationship portfolio. He also brings a wealth of experience in solving power distribution problems in data centers owned by some of the largest players in the industry. Prior to joining Instor, Hoffert was regional sales manager for Server Technology.

Scott Dean is joining Instor as the new project coordinator, a role in which he will be responsible for the deployment and management of Data Center Fit Up projects for clients. He will also be acting as a liaison between Instor’s contractor and manufacturer partners. Dean has a long history in surveying, heavy equipment operation, electrical contracting, and construction for both commercial and residential projects.

“Building on the momentum from our East Coast expansion, this new set of hires will help meet the demand for increased infrastructure solutions in additional regions across the United States,” said Jack Vonich, vice president of sales and marketing at Instor. “We’re delighted that this growth has driven the need for the position of director of professional services. The role is pivotal to supporting the success of our growing, nationally active sales teams. Equally important, this position reflects Instor’s commitment to making infrastructure projects quick, transparent, and cost-effective for customers.”

In an earlier phase of strategic expansion, Instor Solutions announced the opening of a new office in Ashburn, Virginia, supported by several additional personnel along the East Coast. The rapid rise in new hires throughout the country occurred shortly after the company formally launched its Data Center Fit Up Program.
