CyrusOne announces plans to host an invitation-only open house celebration for current and potential customers and partners, as well as the media, on Thursday, April 14, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 7100 Metropolis Drive in Austin. CyrusOne executives are also scheduled to attend.

“We are pleased to announce the celebration of opening our Austin III facility,” said Scott Brueggeman, chief marketing officer, CyrusOne. “With advanced power, cooling, and security standards, the new Austin III data center enables production and disaster recovery environments for national, international, and local enterprise companies. We look forward to providing this scalable, flexible data center space for our current and future customers and to continuing our expansion in the Austin market.”

The Austin III data center is located in the Met Center, Austin’s premier mixed-use business park. The building’s new redundant power and cooling infrastructure have made it an ideal facility to host CyrusOne’s growing customer base in the area. At full build, the Austin III data center will encompass 172,000 sq ft. The new facility is planned to offer 120,000 colocation sq ft (CSF) and up to 18 megawatts of power.

Centrally located, CyrusOne’s Austin III facility features stringent physical security and is strategically positioned with access to redundant utility power feeds and access to the fastest and most reliable telecommunications networks. As part of CyrusOne’s National IX (Internet Exchange) platform, this Austin data center provides interconnection to other CyrusOne data centers in Texas and beyond.
