Cologix has announced that it has acquired 2.7 acres of land in Columbus, OH, immediately adjacent to its existing 5 acre data center campus at 555 Scherers Court. The company will expand on the new footprint to create the leading data campus supporting carrier neutral, high-density colocation and enterprise-grade data center demand in Ohio. This land acquisition reflects the strong demand for data center services in the Columbus market and Cologix’s commitment to invest in order to stay ahead of their customers expansion needs.

Cologix’s current Columbus presence includes Ohio’s premier carrier-neutral data center which spans over 32,000 SQF within an 86,000 SQF wholly owned, purpose built critical infrastructure facility. The location is uniquely network rich based on the 30+ networks that intersect on site and access to 30MW of utility power, which enables high density, enterprise grade colocation services.

“We are proud to support a growing roster of sophisticated customers in Columbus who validate the local economy’s vibrancy and its attractiveness to enterprises as a natural location for a highly resilient enterprise grade data center services and disaster recovery,” stated Grant van Rooyen, President and Chief Executive Officer. “This land acquisition reflects our broader expansion ambitions in Columbus and allows us to develop an additional 100,000 SQF of incremental capacity over time.”
