IO has announced its IO.OS operating system now supports Apple iPhones and Android smartphones. Using IO.OS, C-Suite executives, business application owners, and IT personnel can securely monitor their entire data center infrastructure—anywhere, anytime—with iPhone and Android devices.

IO.OS is the first secure data center infrastructure operating system to bring together in a single view all data center assets. This allows organizations to gain the business intelligence, real-time visibility, service level attainment, cost management, and resource orchestration needed to achieve optimal performance. This new release delivers a richer user experience to intelligently monitor the entire data center including: power, cooling, space, server, storage, network, platform and virtualization services, and business applications, in a single pane of glass on smartphones.

“IO.OS has transformed the data center view by allowing users to see all critical points of their infrastructure with the iPhone and Android devices they use every day to operate at maximum efficiency,” said Kevin Malik, IO.OS general manager and CIO. “Enterprise users can securely view current status, measurements and historical trend graphs on their smartphones with the ability to drill down on multiple physical locations and thousands of devices from one screen.”

The new Apple iPhone and Android device support joins existing support for Windows 7.5 Phone mobile operating system and HTML 5—providing a wide array of mobile options to customers.

IO.OS addresses a range of customer needs from a single data center to a complex portfolio of on premise and hosted data centers around the world. The IO.OS enables organizations to securely optimize their data center infrastructure for cloud computing, big data, high-availability applications, business continuity, data center consolidation, and energy efficiency.
