PDI Expands Modular Data Center Line

Power Distribution, Inc. (PDI) has announced new enhancements to its i-CON Modular Data Center solutions. The new features include a low density offering (7.5 kw per cabinet and under) and a high density offering (above 7.5 kw per cabinet), with refrigerant and ECU-based cooling—in self-contained, modular sizes of 10 ft, 20 ft, 40 ft and 53 ft versions.

“PDI understands that every customer has unique data center requirements—this is why the i-CON Modular Data Center has been designed with maximum flexibility in mind,” said Dave Mulholland, PDI’s vice president of marketing and service. “With the addition of these new features, the i-CON now offers the simplest method to tailor a modular data center solution for any customer’s needs while being fully optimized for maximum efficiency.”

The i-CON Modular Data Center is built from a standard ISO shipping container and customized with the key attributes of a standard, brick and mortar data center. PDI’s unique approach is incredibly rapid to deploy and significantly more cost effective than constructing new data centers.  Additional i-CON features include:

 • DynaCool On-Demand Cooling System

• i-CON Facility Management System

• Modular Racks with Integrated, Self-contained Cooling Units (SCU) for maximum efficiency and  serviceability
