2011 Technology Convergence Conference to Tackle the IT Ecosystem

TELADATA has announced that its 2011 Technology Convergence Conference will feature a track for CIOs and IT managers covering the top trends in IT ecosystem management.

“Our goal is to discuss important IT trends and give participants the opportunity to learn about topics that must be addressed in 2011,” said Maricel Cerruti, director of marketing and business development for TELDATA. “The IT track provides a perfect opportunity for CIOs and other IT managers to ponder a number of case studies and benefit from predictions and analysis from today’s IT thought leaders.”

The conference will be held February 23, 2011 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Registration is currently open and there is still an opportunity to take advantage of “early bird” pricing.

One issue to be addressed in the IT Track is the urgent enterprise requirement to transition to the Internet’s next-generation Internet Protocol, IPv6. Owen DeLong of Hurricane Electric, which manages world’s largest IPv6 network backbone, will give an overview of IPv6 transitions and will discuss how CIOs and IT mangers can ensure a seamless transition while avoiding large capital expenditures.

Another topic sure to be on the minds of IT leaders in 2011 is cloud computing and its impact on the enterprise. Rich Miller, editor of Data Center Knowledge, will moderate a panel titled Reconciling the Speed-of-Change Requirements by Cloud Computing for Data Centers.

An important but often-overlooked topic is the effect of bandwidth-intensive multimedia on the data center. In a morning sessions titled Top AV Trends that Impact Facilities and IT Design, TELDATA’s own Brian Mata will discuss a number of topics, including high-definition conferencing, digital signage, IP control systems and Cloud-based audio-visual infrastructure.

End-user IT case studies will be given by some of today’s leading companies including:
  • Cisco Systems
  • Intel
  • Symantec
  • Yahoo!
TELADATA’s Technology Convergence Conference focuses on providing an environment where IT, facilities, telecommunications and other technology professionals can assemble to exchange ideas and best practices relating to the latest technologies in data centers, telecommunications, building management systems and security. Expert speakers and resources offer delegates critical information and in-the-trenches tactics to effectively deal with key issues affecting their facilities today.
