Tackling Today's Data Center Energy Efficiency Challenges - A Software-Oriented Approach

Schneider Electric's Hugh Lindsay along with James Parker and Bill Brown of Square D Engineering Services in conjunction with the Square D Critical Power Competency Center
developed a white paper describing how to manage increased load densities caused by  advances in server equipment technologies and increased demand for computing power. This paper outlines a software-based approach to the data gathering, trending, and analysis that are necessary to apply successful energy efficiency measures in data
center environments.

Improving Security Using a Physical Switch

Market Central, Inc. 's new white paper examines largely overlooked hardware security appliances. Hardware is inherently secure and its lower level of complexity (as compared to software solutions) makes hardware much more dependable. High performance hardware solutions support the next generation of higher speed networks with true plug'n'play installation. There is no software to be hacked, patched or regularly upgraded.
