Data Center Dynamics Announces NYC Lineup
Data Center Dynamics announced that it would hold its 6th Annual New York event on March 4th at the Hilton New York. The New York conference has always been the group's largest event in the U.S. This year, more than 1000 professionals are expected to attend.

The Data Center Dynamics Conference & Expo has quickly established itself as New York's largest gathering of professionals involved in the design, build, and operational management of 24/7 mission critical IT facilities from the datacenter to the LAN closet. The systems, applications, operational requirements, and infrastructure technologies coming online are transforming the modern datacenter facility. From soaring energy costs and demands to reduce carbon emissions, the impact of blade servers, the role of virtualization, grids and utility computing, the inherent rising thermal management problems, requests for more power per rack, and the need for advanced automation and management tools, the pressure on data center operators to do more with less sees no sign of abating. This year's multi-track one-day conference program will update time-conscious data center professionals with the latest strategies and thinking on how to overcome the next big challenges to face the U.S. data center industry.

New Technologies
Caterpillar Power Generation Systems (CPGS) developed the 16CM43, the most efficient 16-cylinder engine in its class. Generating up to 14.4 MW of power, the 16CM43  features an advanced design that results in a long operating life, simplified maintenance, high McWintet-tt-1-16CM43_1-copy efficiency and low emissions.  With increased power density and high reliability, the fuel- flexible 16CM43 is ideal for prime, standby, distributed generation, and peaking. Easy to maintain with integrated subsystems that reduce sealing surfaces, the 16CM43 features a long-stroke design that operates at lower engine speeds.  As a result, component life is increased, while maintenance costs are decreased.  The 16CM43 also offers low operational costs with the lowest brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC) in its reduced lube-oil consumption and greater time between overhaul (TBO).

Schneider Electric released its newest model of the Square D AccuSine PCS Active Harmonic Filter (AHF). The AHF provides the simplest and most effective means to mitigate harmonics, reduce process-related voltage fluctuations, and improve electrical equipment operating life and distribution system capacity. The new model includes the Telemecanique Magelis XBT-G 3.8-in. graphical touchscreen terminal, a small and compact HMI terminal that is powerful enough to support high-end HMI applications to cater to customer needs. The compact, yet highly visible 320 x 240 pixel Magelis XBT-GT touch screen supports multiple languages and font sizes. It integrates Ethernet, can be connected on Uni-Telway/Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, and includes an alarm function with fault logging for better traceability.

Schaefer, Inc.'s C/B 2700 Series of 3U DC/
DC and AC/DC converter modules and battery chargers uses industrial-grade components and provides a high
density, space-saving solution for applications in industries such as
railway controls and communications equipment (onboard and trackside),
military applications, oil/gas processing, fuel cell applications,
