Profitably Improving Site Infrastructure Energy Efficiency
One measurement of a data center’s site infrastructure
energy efficiency is the ratio of all power consumed by all electrical and
mechanical systems supporting the computer equipment load (total power load)
divided by the computer equipment load (critical load). The Uptime Institute, a provider of
educational consulting services for Facilities and IT organizations interested
in maximizing data center uptime calls this the data center Coefficient of
Efficiency (CoE).
