Profitably Improving Site Infrastructure Energy Efficiency

One measurement of a data center’s site infrastructure energy efficiency is the ratio of all power consumed by all electrical and mechanical systems supporting the computer equipment load (total power load) divided by the computer equipment load (critical load).  The Uptime Institute, a provider of educational consulting services for Facilities and IT organizations interested in maximizing data center uptime calls this the data center Coefficient of Efficiency (CoE).
